    College students can also receive unit credits based on type of work experience)

colleges, universities and local youth organizations.

Prepare for Hosting an Youth Work Experience
  • Can you support an youth?
  • Is the opprtunity paid or unpaid?
  • What efforts and training will be assigned to the youth(s)?
  • Who will be assigned to supervise the youth(s)?
  • Understand state labor laws regarding hosting youths. (Download document below)
Steps to Take
  • Meet with Youth Talent Advisor determine desire to host youths.
  • Complete the Opportunity Request Form providing the details of opportunity.
  • Review candidates provided by Youth Talent Advisor
  • Interview selected candidates
  • Communicate the results of interviews to the Youth Talent Advisor
  • Welcome new youth commencing the opportunity
  • Communicate with Youth Talent Advisor on youth's progress
  • Complete periodic evaluations
